Funny Talking Scale

Funny Talking Scale As more people try to “battle the bulge”, a weighing scale should be the best guide to make sure that they keep track of those calories. And while people may workout or exercise all they want, here is something you can give them for a light humor that should eventually be a rare find.

The Funny Talking Scale can immediately provide the usual weight of a person. However, that is not all it will do. The scale makes vocal remarks such as still being a “fat slob” which can really be annoying but hilarious for practical jokers.

Even super skinny people will be insulted when they step on this scale! The scale measures weight in both pounds or kilograms, has an extra large, stable weighing platform, an extra large display, and can hold up to 440 pounds (200kg).

Hate late? Technology can make pizza in less than three minutes

People move fast. Everybody moves with lightning speed as they try to accomplish as many things as they can in a day. Because of the quick pace, the need for convenience rose to match the daily grind. This led to microwavable dinners, convenience stores, instant food, and vending machines. Vending machines are truly the busybody’s best friend because they can be found literally anywhere and products range from napkins to food to drinks. Its disadvantage is that their only products are snacks that don’t need to be heated or cooked. However, in Rome, a vending machine that makes pizza is drawing crowds.

It comes to no surprise that Italy came up with Let’s Pizza, a vending machine that bakes fresh pizza in less than three minutes. Developed by Claudio Torghele, the machine uses infrared rays and technology developed at the University of Bologna with the help of Unilever to knead flour and water into dough, spread it with tomato sauce and toppings and have it prepared in an instant for only four euros. The machine even comes with a window so buyers can watch the 12-inch pie being prepared. Like regular pizza, it comes out in a cardboard box. The machine offers four toppings – cheese and tomato (margherita), bacon, ham, and fresh vegetables, some of the all-time favorites.

Torghele hopes Let’s Pizza will appeal to Europeans as the recession slowly affects Europe. His creations, which are half of the price of regular pizzas could serve as an alternative to restaurant pies. Torghele even said that his products are satisfactory, low cost, and available 24-hours a day. Not bad for a pizza that is not only fresh but fast.

However, chefs view Let’s Pizza negatively. Experts say that pizza cannot be rushed. The dough must be mixed and left for 12 hours, the ingredients kept fresh, and the oven pre-heated to 300 degrees. According to Pino Morelli, the head of the Association of Italian Pizzerias, pizza that comes from a machine is not Italian pizza. He even went further by saying that anyone who wanted to eat real pizza has to go to a pizzeria. He claimed that it might it find a niche overseas, but Italians know real pizza.

Whether or not it is real pizza, people who don’t have the time can only care about its convenience and taste. 11

Tips To Catch the Viewer’s Eye

116

Every graphic designer wants to catch the viewer’s eye. But any professional graphic designer knows that simply catching attention isn’t enough for a good design. Grabbing the viewer’s attention to where it’s supposed to be focused is what a professional graphic designer aims. Below is a list of things to remember and consider in order to achieve a properly-focused design:

The natural movement of the eyes is from the left to the right.
The upper left portion of the page is usually where eyes fixate first and the longest. Viewers will usually look at this portion for several seconds before their eyes explore other areas of the page.
Big eye-catching headlines grab the visitor’s attention first when entering a website. This is most true when a headline is in the upper left corner but still usually true when the headline is in the upper right corner.
Smaller type prompts focus reading. Apply this practice with reservation though since small type is generally an eyesore. Meanwhile, bigger type prompts skimming.
Viewers typically scan all the way down the bottom of the website to check if there’s anything interesting.
Readers usually read the headlines and one-third of the ensuing information after. To hold a reader’s attention, you must catch his attention by his first second into reading.
Navigation features work best when they’re placed on top of the page rather than on the side or the bottom.
When posting articles on your website, stick to a short paragraph structure. Readers often find long paragraphs tiring to read. In the same logic, one column structures are preferred to multiple column structures.
The larger the image, the longer a viewer’s eyes will focus on it.
An area with color that’s off the layout’s tone catches attention to that area.
