AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Spacetime Studios has ported their mobile 3D MMO game, Star Legends, to Native Client (NaCl) open-source technology thus enabling PC and Mac players to join Android and iOS players for the first time in gaming history.
Ubisoft in November will release a dance videogame based on the music of ABBA, a Swedish band that rocketed to fame in the 1970s and became one of the most successful pop groups in history.
The French videogame titan “ABBA You Can Dance” exclusively for play on Nintendo’s Wii consoles with motion-sensing controls.
The game will be released November 15 and features 26 ABBA songs including “Dancing Queen” and “Take a Chance on Me,” according to Ubisoft.
“In the video game market, Ubisoft is the dancing king,” Ubisoft US senior vice president of sales and marketing said in a play on the lyrics of a famous ABBA song.
“With ABBA You Can Dance, players can dance, they can jive, and they can have the time of their lives,” he continued.
Dance routines that players are challenged to emulate were professionally choreographed and set in venues inspired by the group’s videos and performances.
ABBA formed in 1970 in Stockholm and went on to top music charts for a decade. The band, which split up in 1982, has sold more than 378 million records and continues to sell millions of albums annually, according to Ubisoft. (AFP)
