The photos taken by modern digital cameras tend to be huge, which is convenient for printing but not for emailing or uploading. The free programme Irfanview allows amateur photographers to reduce the file size of a bunch of photos in one batch.
Users can choose a range of photos and specify a new size for them. They can also rotate the images and change the colours and other details. It’s also possible to retain the original photos in case you change your mind after the resizing. The graphic viewer is available for a range of Windows operating systems and supports many file formats. (dpa)
