The Pocket Friendly Flip Ultra HD

Considered to be one of the best in selling camcorder, Flip video is set to release another camcorder this time around in the form of the Flip Ultra HD.

With the holidays coming in, the company brings consumers two updated versions of the Ultra HD: the higher-end model, and the Ultra HD that shoots video at 720p (1,280 x 720) high-definition and for the budget friendly consumer the Ultra that shoots 640 x 480 VGA video.

At first glance the new Flip Ultra HD would be the same as the original one released a year ago but on second inspection you might see that there are a few differences you might want to consider. For starters, there is a transflective LCD on the back of the camcorder which is much bigger measuring up to 2 inches compared to the previous model with 1.5 inches. Control buttons are now bigger and the Ultra HD now comes in black or white rubberize matt finish that lets you grip the device more firmly.

Like the Mino HD, the Ultra HD shoots video at 720p at 30fps, H.264 compressed and is encoded as an MPEG-4 format. The unit lacks a memory card slot, but thanks to the built in 8Gb of internal memory it allows you to save those precious moments without the hassle.
