It may sound pure enough but don’t be fooled by the name itself. Pure Sensia isn’t that absolutely pure but rather too ambitious when it comes to web radio. Ambitious enough, that it is creating a new gadget category that is both a hybrid between a clock radio and a computer bringing both that is fun and exciting to consumers. Instead of giving users access to many web internet stations around the world, Pure Sensia uses mobile phone application to show small slideshows of your photos in Picassa goodness all within its colorful touchscreen. It will help you scroll down your entire music collection wirelessly from your computer and also give you live weather reports. Not only that it will also show you live Twitter updates and Facebook feeds allowing you to stay connected and updated all the time all with the use of its soft keyboard.

The physical design of the Sensia is downright retro chic with a little bit of chrome finish with a screensaver that, in standby mode shows a representation of a clock. But behind that ball of pure simplicity lies the true power and functionality of this solid device. It is all made possible to the use of Pure’s own processor, a wireless broadband connection and nifty software that keeps everything under wraps. It comes with a 5.7 inch touch screen display to help you navigate through the menus.

Streaming music from your PC or Mac is as easy as it can gets. AS long as your library is DRM-free you can easily set it up for sharing and search your entire Jurassic media, with all the album artwork and the like.

The speakers are not half that bad, and of course the biggest main attraction would be the enormous screen. The Pure Sensia has its many useful functions just about everything you always want from that simple radio.

Surprisingly though, another BlackBerry has hit the market today. RIM has decided to make some new updates on the BlackBerry and the result was the Bold 9700.

The first thing you should notice about this phone would be its keyboard. This time around it has 6mm less room than the old one. The result is one nifty keyboard which becomes a lot closer together with the paddle like buttons on the first Blackberry Bold at the same time have been remodeled to make typing with ease and comfort. It has a new design which makes the Storm feel a bit far behind. The new lock and mute keys button are far beyond than that of the Black Berry Bold which makes it more of a bad ass than the chrome button.

The Bold 9700 is more stylish than ever with the chrome band edge being awe factor when it comes to design.

It’s not only the design that makes this device more appealing but also considers its raw power when it comes to functionality. The processor has been beefed up to a 624MHz. Displaying images in thumbnails may have been a daunting task to many previous models of the Black Berry but this time around it can handle it in a breeze.

The OS has also been upgraded to a new BB OS 5.0. The new OS has better designed menus and it is easier to find elements like music and video which are now grouped together in one place rather that spawning off in different locations.

When it comes to Media playback, the BlackBerry has taking it to another level. The phone now has a 3.5mm headphone for music lovers on the go. Watching videos is stunning on the HVGA screen at 480 x 320 pixel resolution in the neat 2.4 inch display.

Overall the Bold 9700 is a neat upgrade to other previous model. Nothing unique, consider it as an upgrade instead of new phone.

Nokia has released yet another breath taking phone this time around the Finnish company has spring back into action with this recent addition the N900.

Having released many series of solid phone, this time around Nokia has upped its ante with a sleek new design and a powerful handset that would make any tech junkie bend to its knees. At 18mm thick, you could expect the N900 a bit chunkier than you’d ever expect but the phone itself is solid and well built. There are no buttons on top giving you this clean feel. The phone itself has a dimension of 110.9 x 59.8 x 18mm and weights at 181 grams. Considering its weight it might be heavy than the average smart phone.

It sports a 3.5 inch screen that slides back to reveal the full QWERTY keyboard that is perfect and evenly spaced out. The first thing you should notice about the phone would be the exception of making calls, you can only make calls on landscape mode making it near impossible to operate with one hand.

The phone is integrated with Maemo 5 technology, the same thing that you see on Linux devices. This in turn means developers can create a number of useful applications making the phone flexible and versatile.

With a 3.5-inch LCD screen and a 800×480 resolution it’s almost like you’re having a notebook in the palm of your hand. The images are crystal clear and colorful that makes picture viewing and video playback a niche for the N900.

The N900 supports a host of new connectivity features including the Ovi by Nokia, Skype, Jabber, SIP and Google Talk just to name a few. Messages are displayed alongside the SMS and with the unique “Conversations” tab it’s very simple to switch from messages.

The N900 is an awesome piece of device offering the best in both worlds. Consider this a new step in Nokia in making quality and awesome phones.

The new Sony Ericsson Yari is specifically targeted to give consumers the ultimate gaming experience. It may lack the most innovative slider but don’t fret this little device has many surprises in its sleeves. The Yari has a decent 5-mega pixel camera with auto focus. But its real focus has to be its gaming functionality.

Thanks to the built in GestureTek, the new Sony Ericsson Yari can use its own camera to detect your moves and translate them into gaming moves. It can also do some wireless multiplayer games. The technology has already been introduced in Japan through its DoCoMo cellphones but it is only now that it has been readily available for worldwide use.

The design of the Sony Ericsson Yari is simple and neat that will attract many conservative users. But the hood may seem a bit obnoxious that might not appeal to many tech freaks. For starters it has two small knobs present above the display which are actually dedicated for gaming. Between the keys are the light sensors, earpiece and the secondary camera.

It sports a 2.4 inch screen with 262K color display, pretty well for viewing pictures. Underneath the LCD screen lies the ample D-pad which is sided by six controls topped with thin soft key followed by a huge call and end key.

Sliding up the phone reveals the 12-key alphanumeric keypad. The phone also supports a standard 3.5mm jack and the micro/mini USB port for transferring files in a breeze. To our surprise the phone is equipped with the same Walkman music player but not being a complete Walkman device. Consider this phone more of a hybrid combining both Cybershot and Walkman elements all into one.

Overall, the Sony Ericsson Yari is a great phone with excellent gaming capabilities. It has revolutionized the way we think of phones and it is well suited to many gamers.

Dragon Age: Origins Review

If you’re hunting for dragons then Dragon Age: Origins is the game suitable for you. When was the last time you set foot on a fantasy world only to be whacked in the head by a newspaper for daydreaming in Physics class? Dragon Age: Origins is that kind of game which has rich storyline and excellent graphics that bring the wicked of imaginations to life.

Set in the fictional life of Ferelden, you meet many memorable characters in which you fight and make a cause for which you believe in. Dragon Age has the best storyline to date. BioWare’s new role playing game has set gamers to pit of one hell of an adventure that would leave them begging for more. The story is simply brilliant and well crafted. It is lengthy though but proves to be entertaining in the end.

Dragon Age’s plot is set on the time when hordes of demonic creatures called as Darkspawn. You create your own party of heroes and develop a close connection with them in return for a great adventure you lead your party on. In the world of Dragon Age you develop your character and make them strong all throughout the game. Meeting new companions and completing quest is one of the few things you can do as you progress the storyline early on in the game.

All in all the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions have their own set of unique challenges. Sound quality is decent from the character dialogues and background music. Not very much epic compared to that of God of War. In terms of graphics, its pretty good with excellent rendering of creatures and character details.

Dragon Age: Origins is definitely worth playing as it can easily rival many modern day RPG’s. Bioware did a great job on putting a game like this and ended up a decent action paced RPG that doesn’t get old.
