Nokia Announces 5530 XpressMusic Phone
If you recently purchasd a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone, you’re definitely going to feel bad after reading this.
Nokia recently launched the new 5530 XpressMusic phone, which is now the cheapest touch screen music phone in today’s market.
One of the reasons that the 5530 XpressMusic phone is so cheap is that it retains the WLAN connectivity, and uses 2G connectivity. Nokia decided to forgo the 3G chip for this particular phone, which is okay, because 3G only seems to be emerging in a few countries. Besides, after getting hold of this phone with features such as touch screen, music and style, you’ll forget that it has no 3G.
For the ladies (and gentlemen) who love the color pink, you’ll be pleased to know that there is a pink version of this phone, and that it comes with a special design on the back plate that is unique to this particular color. It isn’t a limited edition or anything—it’s just really part of the package.
The 5530 XpressMusic phone comes with 4GB of memory, which can be upgraded to a memory expansion of 16GB. The screen of this phone is 2.9 inches, and has a resolution of 640×360. Usually, screens of cell phones have problems under direct sunlight, but no such problem exists with this particular model.
The previous model of the XpressMusic phone, the 5800, had front face hardware buttons. For the 5330, they decided to take this out in order to give the users a full touch screen experience. Although there are still buttons for the main menu and calls, they are also virtual, in order to give the user a complete virtual keypad experience.
The 5530 is equipped with a stylus, a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, and is slightly smaller and lighter than the 5800. A definite two thumbs up for this phone.
