Latest in Workstation Technology

In a world of increasing technological opportunities, boundaries have disappeared and possibilities have become endless. Especially for the disabled, now they have a chance to enjoy the same benefits we, more abled people have technologywise. The gravitonus has created a workstation that not only is a fully functional workstation but also is a game player’s hub. A workstation by definition is an office area furnished with necessary equipment (i.e. a computer, desk, etc) to accomplish one’s work. This one is like that but a bit more futuristic. Recently released, this is said to be ergonomic, full modular and hi – tech (in terms of market applications). In this day and age, for something to be hi – technology, it must be out of this world and this is. This workstation comes with an on – board computer that regularly analyzes the body positions and pressure. So it doesn’t matter who you are, what you your body type is, height or weight, it’s all going to adjust to you, not the other way around. This unique set up enables the system to adapt specifically to the user’s psychophysical activity to create the least possible discomfort. Matrox Triplehead, an included feature in this workstation allows the perfect alignment of the display attachment to the user’s best vision area in whatever body position, a keyboard specially designed to completely move in 3D, 5.1 sound systems, glare and shadow-free illumination and a hell of dynamic exoskeleton for both left and right. As this product aims to increase productivity and ensure an enhanced comfort level, it comes to no surprise that it is equipped with ACCS. Gamers who use this know what a great advantage ACCS has in terms of speed, response time, using of the mouse, trackball and joystick. One of the best products out there in the market to date, its good that not only convenience was emphasized but a larger market audience too.

LCD Review: ViewSonic VX1940w

126

ViewSonic is the best if your need is varied or basics. The ViewSonic is able to perform and do everything reasonably well that fits on what you need and what your budget can afford. It has higher resolution compared to other 19-inch LCD monitor.

Viewsonic VX1940w is the best widescreen with 19-inch measurement LCD computer monitor. In 20- to 22-inch monitors, the very high resolution of 1680 x 1050 is generally found, giving it exceptionally crisp image quality for its size and price. Shady scenes are a bit tough to see when gaming or watching a video and a small type could be a bit sharper but the ViewSonic VX1940w is a versatile LCD monitor that displays text, graphics, movies and games very well by the average person’s standards. While cheaper 19-inch LCD monitors are, the resolution won’t be as high. If you are going to use a monitor primarily for reading text for hours, the 20-inch HP LP2065 is the best choice because it is designed to reduce eyestrain and because you’ll need less scrolling than with a widescreen monitor.

Viewsonic VX1940w is the best widescreen LCD monitor, having very high resolution, and can display text, graphics, movies and games very well for the person’s standards.

RIM BlackBerry Storm: Possible iPhone Challenger?

ddzpnv62_96gjs26zdv_b

RIM’s BlackBerry Storm 9500 could possibly be the first credible touchscreen device to challenge Apple’s iPhone. Although BlackBerry Storm 9500 may in no way resemble an iPhone, RIM’s device has enough neat functions to steal demand from the iPhone.
The BlackBerry Storm 9500 is RIM’s first venture into the world of touchscreen phones. Interestingly, for its first model, RIM has decided to come up with a fully clickable touchscreen called the “ClickThrough” touchscreen. The phone’s 3.25-inch screen can be pressed downward like one very big button. Pressing the screen down is prompted by the menu in order to activate certain functions.
Storm attempts to be very flexible in terms of user typing preferences. Three keypad types are available and easily switched from one to the other. When the device is held in the portrait mode, RIM’s signature SureType keypad comes out but it can also be changed to the more classic Multitap input if you prefer. When the device is held in the landscape mode, a QWERTY keypad, powered by an accelerometer, is launched.
Storm’s keypad has its advantages and disadvantages. The keypad is quite large which means easier typing but also translates to limited view of what you’re typing. Like most touchscreen keypads, Storm’s keypad may take a while to get accustomed. The keypad’s responsiveness and accelerometer is also known to be sluggish, too. Thankfully, Copy and Paste works—a function which doesn’t exist in the iPhone.
Communication is a strong point for the Storm as expected from RIM products. Email can be accessed and managed efficiently. Viewing, editing and attaching documents are smoothly done with DataViz. Calendar and address books can also be synced seamlessly with a PC. Instant messaging and social networking apps are integrated into the Storm’s backbone. Most tasks can be done with a single click.
Blackberry Storm 9500 has a workable camera and a simple but impressive music player. Movie-watching is also possible since the phone’s got 1G of onboard memory plus up to 16GB of expandable memory. Storm is equipped with HSDPA, USB and BlueTooth Stereo but sadly, lacks WiFi capability. Reportedly, Storm also has compatibility issues with Macs. Obviously, RIM’s made it personal with Apple.
BlackBerry Storm 9500 is available at Amazon.com for $488.97.

Palm Pre, a smart phone threatening to be an iPhone rival, is set to launch on June 6, 2009. Sprint’s (the phone’s maker) announcement came under speculation of trying to compete with Apple. The launching date June 6 is exactly two days before Apple’s next product launch which is said to include the new iPhone.
Palm Pre is unlike any other phone launched before because it runs on the new Palm webOS mobile platform. Unlike other high-end business phones and entertainment phones, Palm Pre promises to integrate business features with entertainment features without compromising on quality. The need for having separate phones for work and for personal use ends with Palm Pre. The phone combines your professional, social and personal information into one machine that will revolutionize the way we use wireless network.
Palm Pre runs on a very reliable 3G network and readily comes packaged with Sprint’s “Everything Data” plan. The phone is designed to optimize Everything Data’s features. Palm Pre is built to stand heavy duty multi-tasking. Because of Palm Pre’s PDA heritage, managing digital information, whether corporate or personal, is also an ease.
The Synergy function in the new Palm webOS enables you to merge your calendar, address book details and other information from multiple sites in one go. Therefore, the transition from business life to personal life is greatly reduced. You can pull out information from your corporate site and your social networking site in a systemized manner. Synergy is smart enough to distinguish when contact details from different sources (Facebook, Outlook, etc.) and merges them into one piece of data.
Sprint also announced that Palm Pre’s price is at around $200 after a $100 rebate stipulated in a two-year contract agreement. Palm Pre will be available not only in Sprint stores, but also in Radio Shack, Wal-Mart and Best Buy. Accidental damage warranty for Palm Pre is available at Amazon.com only for only $160; the warranty covers three years.

Compatible with every PENTAX lens ever made, the high-end K-7 features an abundance of long-anticipated new and improved features that are exclusive to the camera and combine to make it a tremendous photography tool.

Along with the body, PENTAX announced a D-BG4 battery grip for exclusive use with the PENTAX K-7 and two weather-resistant lens models developed specifically for PENTAX digital SLRs. The smc DA 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL WR and the smc DA 50-200mm F4-5.6 ED WR kit lenses feature weather-resistant seals to handle damp, inclement conditions.
