Crystal Defender for XBox Live

Gamers who love simulation games are in for a treat as Crystal Defenders for Xbox Live is now available for download. Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of Square Enix(R) interactive entertainment products in North America, announced today that the defensive simulation game, CRYSTAL DEFENDERS(TM), previously released for the iPod(R) and iPhone(R) 3G/iPod touch, is now available worldwide for download via Xbox LIVE(R) Arcade for the Xbox 360(R) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

In addition, a major version update for the iPhone 3G/iPod touch versions is currently in development and is scheduled for release in the following weeks.

Featuring jobs and locations from the popular FINAL FANTASY TACTICS series, this unique defensive simulation game requires players to strategically deploy units to fend off encroaching enemy hordes and prevent them from stealing their party’s crystals.

The Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 version includes several improvements to the interface and a new design optimized for consoles. A worldwide ranking system allows players to upload their scores to leaderboards and see how they stack up against other players around the globe. These and other new features are sure to increase excitement and enhance replayability.

In the following weeks, a major version update for the iPhone and iPod touch versions of CRYSTAL DEFENDERS (originally released in December 2008) is planned for release. After this update, players will be able to choose from the original vertical play mode, allowing for one-handed control, or the new horizontal “full touch” mode in which players will be able to control the game via tapping and dragging. This version update is sure to give a new feel to the already popular CRYSTAL DEFENDERS, and will be made available free of charge for those who have already downloaded the full application.

Gameloft has once again brought another game worthy to have in most mobile phones. Gameloft today announced a licensing agreement with The Halcyon Company to develop, distribute and publish the official mobile game to the first film of the new Terminator trilogy, Terminator Salvation. The game will be available day and date of the film release on May 22, 2009.

In the highly anticipated new installment of The Terminator film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future that Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past.

As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
